@Finasty I have absolutely no idea at all about who has told you that/where you got that from, but in any case; you're wrong. To become the 'UOTD', there's no need to be a supporter. To become the 'UOTD', you must count with the following 'requirements':
1.) You must have been online on Newgrounds in the past 30 days.
2.) You must have posted, at least once, on any of the Portals (Art, Audio, Movie...)
3.) You must have posted, at least once, on the 'forums'.
4.) You must have posted, at least once, on a 'blog/news post' (or made one.)
And 5.) You must have a 'custom-profile-picture'.
Asides from those requirements, the rest is just pure 'luck'.
Please, 'absent' yourself from talking about a topic when you don't have the 'enough-knowledge' of said topic. Don't get me wrong, though: be assured that I tell you this with all the respect that I can. Nothing personal.

As a former 'User of the Day' I can share my secret technique with you. You must...
- be on NG for years
- never make a single forum post
- not only not give a ***t about becoming UotD but actively try to _avoid_ becoming UotD (and then have them change the conditions to include comments on the blogs*)
- have planned out the entire day _and_ be late _and_ log into NG when half the day has already passed...
I'd say you're living your life in sweet ignorance of how 'unhelpful' that status truly is. The most frequent requests I hear in connection to that feature are "tell us the day before" and "let us opt out".
